Big Fish Little Fish, by PEN member Joanna Sterling, is based on ‘The Year 1989’ by poet Zhu Yufu , translated by Yu Zhang. Zhu Yufu is currently serving a seven year prison sentence in China for his allegedly ‘subversive’ poem It’s Time and several messages he had sent on the internet.
